Position: Actuary

Responsibilities:
Become proficient in policy rerating tools to generate estimated quotes for BOP and other small business commercial lines.
Acquire understanding of internal and external data sources pertinent to insurance policy rating and their respective limitations.
Suggest methodologies for estimating policy characteristics when verified data is unavailable.
Investigate new data sources, noting their contents and limitations, and document findings.
Maintain communication with business partners to understand their requirements and expectations.

Qualifications:
-3-5 or more years of P&C actuarial experience
-Robust SQL experience; strong SAS experience a plus
-Proficient in Excel VBA
-Basic Python a plus; specifically, pandas/NumPy and Excel/file system manipulation-Well versed in one or more statistical programming software  like R or Python

Salary: 140-180k
