Responsibilities:
·  Develop and communicate the strategic vision for a regulatory framework addressing current and future pensions industry challenges.
·  Promote forward-looking risk assessment reviews 
·  Direct assessments of pension plans' financial health and the security of benefits for plan members.
·  Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of regulatory initiatives, adjusting strategies to achieve desired outcomes.
·  Oversee legislation effectiveness, recommending improvements for administrative harmonization with other provinces and the federal government.
·  Collaborate with peer regulators to share information, discuss risks, and develop joint policies and practices.
·  Drive organizational change through coaching, supporting creativity, and empowering employees to pursue improvement and innovative strategies.
·  Direct the development of policies, procedures, performance standards, and service levels for continuous improvement.
·  Manage and control the budget, making fiscally responsible decisions.
·  Contribute to industry forums, conferences, and pensions discussions.
·  Lead or participate in operational planning and reporting to support program accountability and organizational values.
·  Provide supervision, coaching, and mentorship to help team members reach their full potential.
·  Build and maintain strategic relationships with diverse internal and external stakeholders.


Qualifications:
· FSA, FCIA and / or CFA
· Knowledge of current and emerging risks and trends  
· Knowledge of financial statements, reporting standards and metrics.  
· Knowledge of risk management principles and methods
·  Oversee and direct financial risk management activities within the financial services sector.
·  Interpret and apply relevant legislation, regulations, and policies.
·  Lead, develop, and coach employees.
·  Collaborate with a wide range of stakeholders.
· Deliver presentations and communicate issues to senior management and internal and external stakeholders.
