Position: P&C Actuary

Responsibilities:
· Conduct actuarial analyses for various purposes such as pricing, loss reserving, product development, reinsurance, and capital management.
· Effectively communicate recommendations and findings through presentations, reports, and pricing tools.
· Document all work and establish or enhance procedures for internal department processes.
· Assist in the design, improvement, and maintenance of pricing, reserving, reinsurance, and forecasting models.
· Collaborate with different business units to contribute to the development and implementation of strategic plans and metrics.
· Monitor premium and loss ratio projections, providing updates to business units and senior management.
· Stay informed about industry results and trends, monitoring the company's performance relative to the industry and implementing action plans as necessary.
· Offer guidance and mentorship to other actuarial analysts.
· Represent the Actuarial department on corporate projects as required.
· Attend meetings and participate in committees, serving as a representative of the Actuarial department.
· Undertake advanced special projects as needed.
Qualifications:
-Part-qualified or qualified actuary
-· Excellent communication with others, both actuaries and non-actuaries, verbally, in writing, and via presentations.
· Expertly skilled in use of Excel; proficiently skilled in use of Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint. Programming skills in SQL and/or statistical software (e.g. R, Python) preferred.
