-Tracking competitor rates and responding to market needs
-Perform analysis of pricing and experience data, including communication of indications to business units and assessment of loss reduction options and prepare pricing proposals and state rate filings where applicable 
-Preparation of miscellaneous reports to aid in monitoring the performance of companies, products, and producers 
-Coordinating and managing the development and implementation of Commercial products
-Coordinating with Product Development for the filing of product forms, manuals, rules, and guidelines 
-Coordinating with Systems to ensure that products are implemented in their entirety
-Reviewing product performance and staying abreast of areas for enhancement or refinement
-Communicating as needed with other departments such as Underwriting, Marketing, Compliance, Product Development, and Claims on product-related issues  
-Presentation of findings, written and oral

-Bachelor’s degree (B. A.) from four-year College or university, typically in mathematics, actuarial science or statistics
-5 or more years of Commercial Lines pricing/ratemaking experience or equivalent combination of education and experience; Progress towards ACAS or FCAS
-Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents  
-Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community 
-Ability to write speeches and articles for publication that conform to prescribed style and format  
-Ability to effectively present information to top management, public groups, and/or boards of directors
-Ability to apply advanced mathematical concepts such as exponents, logarithms, quadratic equations, and permutations
-Ability to apply mathematical operations to such tasks as frequency distribution, determination of test reliability and validity, analysis of variance, correlation techniques, sampling theory, and factor analysis
-Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions
-Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables
