Position: Actuarial Consultant

Responsibilities:
·  Perform actuarial analysis for commercial risks, employing statistical modeling techniques and business knowledge to find creative solutions to business problems.
·  Efficiently gather and compile data to address business challenges related to retention, growth, profitability, and competitive positioning.
·  Collaborate closely with business unit and corporate underwriting, seeking input for implementing new rating structures or modifying current rating algorithms.
·  Provide technical support to non-actuarial staff within the unit.
·  Present and interpret rate indications for relevant products and provinces to non-technical audiences.
·  Conduct and organize meetings with business units for project follow-up, soliciting input to establish business needs and translate them into IT requirements.
·  Develop and maintain tracking reports to measure the success of new rating structures, fine-tuning them based on tracking and feedback from the business.
·  May create reports for senior management and underwriting to monitor progress in improving profitability and implementing business strategies.
Qualifications:
· ACAS or near ACAS
· 3+ years of experience in pricing
· knowledge of SAS/R and efficient use of Microsoft applications
