Responsibilities:
-Work in a consultative role to provide value to the organization through proactive value-added insights by advancing our data models, analysis, visualizations and interpretation of insights.
-Oversee and autonomously lead two key distinct enabling functions of the Data Insights and Analytics team
-Insights and Analytics: work closely with the Supervisor of Data Insight and Analytics to work in a consultative role to develop and refine analytics analyses and tools to help inform the business to make data-driven decisions.
-Data Management: The Manager will be accountable for problem solving, developing and establishing an overall Data Strategy / Data Management practice to address specific needs such as: data governance, data literacy, data quality and data enablement across various internal functional areas to improve overall reporting and operating efficiencies and enable descriptive and advanced analytics projects.
-Lead the development of specialized dashboards, scorecards and reporting packages for Group, Individual and HBM+ lines of business.
-Support the Director, Corporate Analytics and Pricing in executing on detailed analytics strategies leveraging company’s shared service model.  Examples of key activities include:
-Translate complex data relationships into common language that enables the organization to understand, value and demand fact-based decisions and strategies.
-Work with vendors, subject matter experts and IT to develop analytic tools to support financial insights, strengthen pricing decisions, support the innovation and product development teams and expand customer and industry benchmarking insights.
-Pivot and reprioritize resources to maintain continuous alignment with the organization as business objectives, opportunities and demands change.
-Establish credibility and maintain strong relationships with key business partners.
-Participate in the delivery of key presentations to executive management.
-Lead the team while embracing company’s mission and values, as well as the leadership behaviors.

Qualifications:
-University degree in analytics, mathematics, statistics, economics, computer science, electrical engineering or a related field.
-5 years of relevant works experience in analytics and business analysis.
-5-7 years of leadership experience; motivate, build, develop and lead effective teams to achieve results.
-Advance knowledge in SQL and familiarity with a variety of databases (Oracle, SQL Server).
-Object-oriented/object function scripting languages: such as Python, Java, C++ etc.
-Data visualization / data manipulation tools (e.g. Tableau).
-Performing quantitative and/or financial analysis and modeling.
-Superior project management skills.
-Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build positive and productive relationships.
-Thrives in a collaborative and challenging team environment.
-Innovative thinker and problem solver who contributes to the achievement of organizational objectives.
-A proactive innovative leader who understands industry trends and implements best practices with a focus on continuous improvement.
-Highly developed planning, organizing and attention to critical detail.

-Excellent verbal and written communication/presentation skills and the ability to communicate to all levels of both internal and external stakeholders.
-Demonstrate influence, agility and action orientation to achieve results.
-Strong business acumen with a strategic management focus.
-Masters or PhD in mathematics, statistics, computer science, engineering or related field.
-Knowledge of Health and Dental Claims Administration processes.
-Bilingual French/English.
