Responsibilities:

- Produce work of a high standard which is accurate and timely.
- Assist in data compilation / data management.
- Responsible for the overall process of performing actuarial valuation activities, encompassing the following: 
- valuation / analysis of policy liabilities in relation to company business o valuation / analysis of industry experience related to private passenger vehicle, commercial vehicle, motorcycle in applicable jurisdictions as required;
-preparing presentations / reports to various internal and external parties on valuation related analysis, including but not limited to the Appointed Actuary, the Actuarial Committee, the Audit & Risk Committee, the Membership, applicable regulators.
- valuation implementation impact support; 
- responses to questions on valuation related analyses, include valuation related questions arising from rate applications.
- Provide actuarial support as direct in relation to: analysis of automobile insurance trends; projection of monthly results for financial reporting purposes.
- Document all work product clearly and fully.
- Assist in supporting needs of, and work collaboratively with, external actuarial resources as needed.
- Assist in the preparation of meetings related to various committees as needed.
- Provide actuarial support to other departments.
- Continue to develop technical skills and meet all professional standards and requirements.

Qualifications:

- University or college degree in actuarial science, mathematics, statistics, engineering, computer science.
- Fellow in good standing of the Canadian Institute of Actuaries.
- 6-10 years of experience in Property & Casualty insurance related to valuation / reserving.
- Ability to communicate ideas and decisions clearly and effectively, with particular emphasis on strong written communication skills.
- Excellent time management and organizational skill. 
- Strong analytical skills.
- Ability to work under tight deadlines.
- Strong interpersonal skills.
- Positive, team-oriented attitude.
- Ability to be flexible, learn quickly and adapt to changes in technology and techniques. 
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office software.
- Assets:
- Experience in valuation application ICFRS.
- Experience in database management.
- Experience using GISA/IBC data and exhibits.
