Responsibilities:

-To prepare and issue new business and renewal quotations on the company for medical, life, death and disability risks.
- Update and take the ownership of the renewal and quote database.
- Assess risk and price profitably on new and existing experience book business.
- Liaise with sales support team and customer’s relationship managers in relation to pricing queries and when necessary, deal direct with clients and brokers.
- Provide impact analysis of benefits in relation to changes in benefits when requested.
- Ensuring ownership is taken of all the queries received by the team.
- Proactively identify and propose process improvements within the Pricing Department
- Guide and support junior team members, assisting in their formal onboarding and training.
- Work independently and autonomously on daily tasks within defined frameworks.
- Solve complex technical problems through business requests.
- Develop a broader understanding of the trading partner agreement partnership functions and monitoring functions of the implications of Pricing work elsewhere in the business.
- Influences decisions through advice and guidance on pricing matters.

Qualifications:

- Experience 7 years in Underwriting/pricing function.
- Experience within the insurance industry, preferably within International Health Insurance.
- Experience working in a pressurized and goal driven environment.
- Experience working with international medical business groups.
- Mathematics and statistical qualification or similar.
- Strong knowledge of the databases IT tools.
- Advanced Excel skills to include familiarity with pivot tables, advanced formulas, functions…
- Strong technical, pricing performance and customer service skills.
- Highly consistent and persistent approach to carrying out duties.
- Strong attention to details and controls.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent organizational skills.
- Effective time management skills.
