Responsibilities:

 - Prepare or review a variety of reports required at quarter-end and/or year-end.
- Ownership, analysis and ongoing development of regular recurring reporting processes.
- Produce quarterly reporting on Canadian pricing profitability and value of new business with inputs from Valuation and Pricing teams.
- Assist in work relating to OSFI DCAT and annual Budget reporting and audit requests.
- Assist in work relating to emerging changes in the industry with respect to regulatory capital and financial reporting.
- Ongoing support of business needs and inquiries from the Canadian Financial Management teams.
- Assist in peer reviews of actuarial liabilities periodically.
- Liaise with Financial Management partners, providing background support, information and planning that help drive success and advancement of our business plans.
- Ad-hoc projects & special requests as required.
- Ensure accountability with EUC and other corporate guidelines.

Qualifications:

- Must be flexible, curious and enjoy variety in work assignments.
- A degree in Actuarial Science, Statistics, Mathematics or Computer Science.
- Excellent knowledge of PC based technology, specifically Excel.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently to bring issues to resolution.
- Ability to effectively collaborate with team members and business partners from various areas of the Canadian Division.
- Has wide access to data and key decision makers across the organization - comfortable with diving into any area of the business or product.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and work within strict timeframes/deadlines.
- Understands the business environment and internal/external customer needs.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Sound judgment and excellent analytical and problem solving skills.
- Ability to refine existing and develop new processes to improve the efficiency, accuracy, and productivity of tasks performed.
- Willingness to learn AXIS software.
- Actuarial knowledge gained through experience or education would be an asset.
