Responsibilities:

-Performs actuarial reviews for assigned products with minimal supervision.
-Utilize standard actuarial techniques to enhance the products robustness and segmentation and to improve the reserving mythologies.
-Monitors company and industry loss and premium trends and identifies areas for improvement.
-Uses basic actuarial techniques and software packages to improve the accuracy of the rate level or reserve selections.
-Presents and details analyses to peers and management.
-Leads group analytical efforts with less experienced members of the team.
-Provides actuarial support and data analysis needed for departments such as Accounting, Claims, Marketing and Product Management.
-Pursues professional development in the actuarial profession through rigorous self-study and successful completion of actuarial exams, with advancement toward ultimate goal of FCAS.

Qualifications:

-Bachelor’s degree or higher in mathematics, actuarial science, statistics, economics, or related field is required.
-At least 3 CAS exams and/or 1-3 years of actuarial experience in the Property & Casualty industry is required.
-Must possess excellent oral and written communication skills and strong quantitative, analytical and interpersonal skills.
-Must have ability to generate quality work product under tight deadlines in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
-Must be willing to embrace change and show flexibility in assignments and the work environment.
-Must be able to work independently and possess initiative, as well as project management and problem-solving skills.
-Must demonstrate ability to lead projects with less experienced analysts.
-Strong ability to interact with management.
-Mastery in Excel skills and ability in relational databases Access and SQL Server.
-Strong understanding of the ratemaking and/or reserving process.
